Get your own web address
Your site already works at a long web address. A domain is your own short name on the internet — like yourbusiness.com. Here’s what that means and how to get one.
- It’s your address on the internet Instead of a long web address nobody can remember, people type one short name and land straight on your site.
- It makes you look established Your own name is easy to remember, looks professional on a truck or a business card, and helps customers trust you’re the real thing.
- We buy it and set it up — and it stays yours You don’t touch any settings. It’s kept in your name, and we can hand it over to you any time you ask.
When you’re ready: tell us the one you like and we buy it and connect it to your site for you — nothing for you to install.
Prices shown are the usual yearly price, and “available” means the name looks free right now — we confirm the exact price and lock it in when we set it up for you.
Put your website on Google
When someone Googles your business, your website should be right there. This takes about two minutes on your phone.
- Open Google Maps on your phone The same app you use for directions.
- Tap Business at the bottom right If you don’t see it, you’re not signed in with the account that owns your business listing.
- Tap Edit profile Same words on a computer — search your own business name on Google and the button is right there.
- Find the box called Website Scroll down the list of your details until you see it.
- Paste your address in That’s the one you copied at the top of this page. Hold your finger on the box, then tap Paste.
- Tap Save. Done. Google usually shows it within a few hours. Sometimes it takes a day.

Can’t add the link? Google requires your business to be verified first — that’s the postcard or phone call they use to check you’re really there.
Google changes this app now and then. If a button is named slightly differently, look for the closest match — the order of the steps stays the same.

Who owns the domain?
We register it for you under our account with WHOIS privacy on. If you ever leave, we transfer it to you on request.
Are changes done for me, or do I make them?
You can edit your tagline and headline (unless your homepage uses a custom design), phone number, hours, service descriptions, FAQ answers, and photo captions yourself in My Website — they publish instantly. Everything else is a change request: use “Request changes” above and a real person makes it.
